hi anyone planning to take cardiology certification?

I keep waiting for the informatics certification, even though it seems silly since half of the time you are working in a non-clinical department that doesn't really value these board certifications. Of course, if your hospital has a policy if implementing pay raises for these things then... why not?

I'm thinking about taking it, either this fall or next spring. My concern is that I think it's graded on a scale, so the first couple of tests are probably gonna be done by all the cardiology experts.

I’ve heard the first run has a higher pass rate but I’m not sure that’s true

I went nuts and got the ACCP study guide. It has a lot of crazy detail. I'm gonna thumb through the notes for a week and see how I feel. Either way, it looks extremely helpful so far.

The first pass rate makes sense to be higher, because all the people in that specialty that have done it for years are rushing to take it. More experienced people taking the test.

Historically this has been the case with the newer board certifications.

I m seriously thinking about it. I can do it the same way I did on my BCCCP ( read all write notes and that all I need to study) it worked before for me

I disagree with you the board at the beginning accept low passing score then once they got a lot of specialists they start to act up and make it harder and harder

Right...because all the Cards experts sit first.
