Curious how many takers are out there for the new Fall 2018 test. I’m on the fence - I already have a pretty secure stewardship position, no employer help with costs, no pay raise. Still tempted to do it. Anyone else considering it?

I’d definitely study up for that expensive of a test. There is always stuff you don’t use every day, statistics is a great example. I’ve had to relearn stats at least 3 times so far.
I’d figure there would be more of a buzz here about this new certification, but I guess it’s not as useful/portable as the standard BCPS

I'm thinking about it. I bought the ACCP study materials and it seems pretty straightforward. It actually seems a lot like the BCPS. I had planned to take it for sure, but now I wonder if adding it to a BCPS would be beneficial.

The book is a nice reference either way, I guess. I have until August to decide.

I am debating taking it as well, still have a little time to officially decide.

Ok good
If you decided then let us make schedule and stick to it
If I have you studying with me, it will be my motivation so I will hold my self accountable to finish those modules on schedule
And if we have extra questions and answers to share for practice then we can discuss it further
What do you think
We still have 3 moths approximately

I decided I'm not going to take it this time. It's pretty much exactly like the BCPS ID materials (a little more detailed, but not even much). I honestly think it would be easier than BCPS, but I'm not sure it's really worth the $600 test fee and yearly license fee because the material really seem to be any deeper, really, that BCPS. The books make a good reference manual, but as of right now, I think my experience and BCPS are worth more than the additional certification.

I’m opting out this year as well. If my employer was paying for the test and a few days off, that might tip the scales.
