Hi TeachBerk,

in passage III, question 65, the questions asks how to calculate the number of observed heads.

chance error is defined as = (heads expected) - (heads observed); and it could be positive or negative.

If we flip a coin 1000 times, then we would expect 500 heads.

Suppose chance error = +30, then we expected 30 more heads than we actually observed.

So the number of heads observed = 500 - 30 = 470.

Thus, choice B is the correct answer, not choice D.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
