hmm, I'm confused why both beams cannot have total internal reflection. They both pass from MI to MIII but have to pass through MII to get there. Passing from MII to MIII should give TIR. The answer explanation says there can't be TIR because TIR isn't possible with 2 normal incident beams. Someone care to explain that?
