brachy/NRC question

In order to do brachy, the NRC website says an authorized user has to be board-certified. What if you're board-eligible? Also, anyone know what the requirements for physics staff is to do brachy-- do they have to be board-certified or can they be 'eligible' as well?

I had this problem right after I graduated from residency. Your brachy atending from resdidency needs to sign an attestation that you completed a certain number of brachy cases under his/her direct supervision and therefore are fine to practice independently.

Either talk to your head physicist or RSO for the paperwork.

I've started doing brachy (Ir-192 HDR) while being board eligible. I had to fill out a ton of forms and my former residency attendings had to sign attestation statements.
