For those who have taken the real MCAT, should the structures and functions of the eye and ear be memorized? What about the parts of the brain and their functions (and the nervous system in general)?

Thanks for the help!

there's another thread where a poster asked about the eye and ear stuff. the title of the thread is something along the lines of what i should memorize and such

in terms of nervous system, just make sure you have a thorough understanding of the whole system. that doesn't mean memorize what each structure does because the mcat prob will not test that. you are definitely going to want to know about the different divisions of the nervous system, all about neurons and how they work (structure included), and what role the nervous system plays in the body.
