Hello Everyone!

I am brand new to this board, well posting anyway. You guys have been extremely helpful so far with inside information about dental school, thank you! I have been lurking the boards for a while and thought I'd make an account myself. 🙂

I reside in California and I am currently at a Community College in the process of transferring to UCSC next year. I did have an opportunity to attend SJSU and I live near the campus, but I have decided to wait to transfer to UCSC or possibly UCSB. I've taken a mostly liberal arts focus in CC and having explored a few career options, I am now set on Dentistry!

Also, I am in the process of planning out my next semester's classes (year 3/3 at CC) and I want to know which science requirements would be okay in your opinion/experience to start on at a CC. I'm thinking Physics? (I don't plan on applying at a school which doesn't take CC credits.)

Thanks!

welcome.

Physics is a good place to start. Its the least important science class for the pre-dental process (not even tested in the DAT)

@mfoti1
Thanks for the reply. Did you take them at CC? I was thinking about starting on at least the first 1-2 bio courses, but taking the majority at the 4 year university.

@dentalWorks
Thank you for that info. I will probably be taking that this fall then.
