So how does one deal with the emotional stress of getting out of a long-term relationship a few days before the MCAT?
😀🙂😳🙁😡
Wow, are you going through that?
I was dealing with a landlord who was selling the house while I was studying for MCAT. I thought I had it bad. That's terrible.
I think the best way to deal with this kind of stuff is to channel all your HATE, ANGER, DISBELIEF, etc... all together and take it out on the MCAT. That's right, beat that **** to death thinking it's your gf.
just remove any meaning you're giving to any actions or things she has said to you if they are bothering you...none of it means anything...and the only thing you should focus on is your mcat, cause thats all that matters.

My boyfriend and I broke up a few weeks before the MCAT (well actually he moved far away due to medical school stuff), and then I was illegally evicted for no particular reason two weeks before the MCAT and had to take a few days to move all my stuff. My roommate basically snapped. One day we were eating ice cream together, the next he was wishing me dead. What I recommend....take one evening to cry your eyes out, talk to a good friend, and then the next morning focus and move on with it. Let yourself have one good night of emotional release and then go forward.
woahh, your roommate was a guy and you had a bf?
some people probably spent more time with mcats than their gf/bf which probably leads to them breaking up ...almost happen to me actually im still trying to work out the kinks worst part of it is she is a premed too she should understand oh well...
Whats with all the breakups occurring right before the MCAT?! There are some mean, vindictive people out there!
Every time you touch her
sets your hands on fire,
And every thing you've got
is all that she requires.
And you hang on, hang on, hang on
to the words of a liar.
You can feel it getting
down to the wire.
All the hurt you thought was gone
has now returned,
And every thing she's laughing at
is all you learned.
And you let go, let go, let go,
'cause you know you're getting tired.
Can you feel it getting
down to the wire?
Take the time to close your
eyes and look around,
'Cause anyone who helped you out
can let you down.
And look out, look out, look out,
the voice is now the choir.
Can you feel it getting
down to the wire?

The MCAT nearly ruined a four year relationship for me. I stepped back, took a deep breath (during a very bad fight) and we agreed to try to make it work at least until the test was over. When it was, everything was normal again. I guess I'm just saying that the MCAT can really get in the way of relationships and maybe you'll get back together when it's over.
