So, I'm interviewing at MWU tomorrow and was just wondering if pre-dental students bring a resume to an interview? It personally seems like overkill to me, seeing that the ad. comm. has most of your background information, but I don't want to be the only person there w/o a resume.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

In the interviews I've had so far I haven't seen anyone carrying around resumes. You could have your info in a portfolio if you wanted but if you are familiar with what you sent to aadsas and the secondary you sent to the school, you shouldn't have any problems. Good luck.

ill probably take a portfolio with all of my information in it just in case. good luck

No one at Creighton had anything when I was there. I wouldn't.

do not take a resume with you, the adcom has all ur paper and information, however i highly suggest carring a portfolio with you, pen paper and ur app with you, its professional and they may have u write somethign, its good to have those thigns with you, but dont give the adcom any resume, letter portfolio nothing its an overkill and would be looked about badly

Nope. There's no need. They have everything they want. If you need to review your essays, you shouldn't have included that portion in it. It must not be too significant.

Okay guys,

What is this portfolio you speak of? What kind of stuff are you putting in there? I'm guessing just the little clip board thing with a note pad?

Help!

Great question, ill probably bring something in the back of a folder to keep me at ease you know, but really they know everything they could possibly learn on a resume, I mean wow the schools have so much info on me its crazy.

Also on that point, what do they really talk about in interviews, they should know most questions they are asking I mean we have told them repeatedly why we want to be a dentist and such...

I don't see the need to.
In my interviews I've seen probably 50% with portfolios and 50% with nothing.
They give you a folder with info when you get to the interview so there isn't really the need to bring one.
What I did was bring a ghetto vanilla paper folder with a couple of notes and questions and stuck it in the folder they gave me.

It's called a Pad Folio.
