Alright I'm gonna get a lot of smack for making this post, but for the cases in which dental schools don't offer to let you bring someone, is it kosher to ask to bring someone? If they do say yes, is that like a secret "loser" point tacked onto my file? do you think it'll affect my admissions? yes i know i should just make my guest "roam the streets" and entertain himself, but he is going to be there visiting the city too since he is part of my decision making process. just curious. the school is boston university.

I wouldnt just bring someone, I would email or call the admissions dept and ask them first.. Some will say it's not a problem, others will say they cant accomodate guests... Depends on the school, but I wouldnt just show up with a guest...

I believe most of the time they only tell you not to bring guests is that they kinda are an inconvenience to everyone there (i.e. not enough space/food to accomodate guests). Doesn't hurt to ask if you really need to bring a guest with you.

I pretty much told one school that I was bringing my wife. I also told them I don't care if she eats or not as long there is enough food for me. 😀

Good thing you have good stats, so you can get away with that crap... lol.. Although I dont know how the wifey's gonna take that one... make sure she packs a sandwich....

Honestly, I wouldn't bring someone. At one of my interviews, someone brought his girlfriend and someone else brought his parents....it just didn't look professional. On our tour of the school, they just seemed to be in the way for everything.

You're an exception b/c your wife seems cool from one of her picts. LOL...you guys are both good looking too....so I don't think people would mind in your case..LOL..

Dude, show up in the penguin suit with the case of beer, at that point, no one will ever question your philosophy, they will just know you belong

why would u need to bring someone? It is an interview, not a death sentence.
