I have interview offers at Brown and Cambridge and I'm wondering if someone could compare/contrast the strengths of these programs. I am from the midwest and I've never even been to the east coast, so unfortunately everything I know about these schools is based solely on their website descriptions. Any personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

FYI my interests are in child/adolescent psych, eating disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.

I don't know about you but, there's just something about Havard that butters me up 😍

For child psych and ASD, Brown's resources can't be matched. Brown has some of the premier ASD researchers/experts working at Bradley, the free-standing child psych hospital in East Providence.

For adult residency, I think the vibe at both places is pretty similar--laid back, with a lot of community psych emphasis. One of the major differences is location--Boston is a busy metropolitan, academic area, while Providence is more of a small-medium sized suburban/urban college town.

While in medical school, I did a psych rotation at Brown and loved it...but ultimately I wanted a more urban location. Would be happy to answer more specific questions via PM...
