No such thing as an objective 'best'. It's a judgment call based on which residencies most fit your interests. I only interviewed at Brown, but they both seem to be highly regarded programs based on the feedback I've seen.
When the gestalt method fails to differentiate, it's time to start making lists. Think of the 5 or 8 or 10 qualities in a residency most important to YOU. It might be call schedule, research opportunity, fellowship placement, underserved populations, forensics, location, cost of living, whatever. Pick fairly tangible things and then try to compare them.
If you want to stay in NY, then it makes sense to rank LIJ and Beth Israel your 1 and 2, followed by brown and tufts.
