Hi Guys, I spoke with the admissions office today and for people applying to the standard route (applied through amcas) there were 10 positions available and 44 acceptances have gone out.
Well, I guess I will be at Drexel next year. 🙂

For what it's worth, I withdrew (reluctantly) my acceptance on the 14th ....hang in there.

There are only 10 regular-track MD class spots @ Brown? I know there's PLME, and other straight-in programs affiliated w/ Brown, but how selective are they for them to only expect a "matriculating class" of 10?

1) Is anybody here definitely attending Brown next year?

2) Has the waitlist at Brown began moving?

what's the deal with Brown? Do they take non-Brown-affiliated students? Is it a waste of time to even apply and interview there?

Yes. It is true.
They interviewed about 270 people for 10 spots. They said during the interview that they would accept 90~100 people, but I guess they trimmed it down a bit. However, the number of straight-out acceptances (44) is still amazing. I am waitlisted at Brown myself, but I cannot see me getting off da list. Good luck people!

i think a brown acceptee just turned down the school when she got her hms acceptance off the waitlist, so there should be a spot opening up... best of luck!
