For those of you that are doing well on your school exams for anatomy, what percentage of questions are you getting correct in the review tests at the end of each chapter for BRS anatomy? I'm hovering around the 70-75% correct mark and trying to improve...

We have a cumulative final coming up so I figured doing all the review exams in BRS anatomy would be a good idea

When I was taking them, I would hover around the same range as you. After going through all of my incorrect answers after taking the BRS chapter tests, I would usually score in the mid 90s for the anatomy portions of my schools exams

BRS is great, but my personal favorite was Lippincott's Q&A Anatomy and Embryology. The questions were either right at the difficulty level of my exams or a little bit harder, but the question explanations are amazing!

My friend is taking the NBME anatomy/embryology and histo/cell bio test, how should she best prepare? I think she said she has 1 week to study for both

I got pretty much the same scores on review tests as I did on the real thing. I'm probably not a good comparison though since the author also was my anatomy course director.

I think we might be in the same class. I scored in that same range on the BRS thorax chapter and scored in the 90s on the class exam yesterday. Planning on doing the relative BRS chapters in preparation for the final next week.

Looks like we are in the same class as well. I am not familiar with BRS Anatomy. But now I know who is killing the curves on our exams. :wow:

I just got my adjusted score back from my professor on the anatomy shelf exam but not my raw percentile yet, and my professor gave me 100% for a grade. I used BRS by reading the clinical correlates, chapter summaries, and doing every chapters questions and reading all the answers. Also went over all my classes powerpoints once as well. I ended up doing well on the shelf using that strategy so BRS is pretty good to use for anatomy.

Looks like I need to crack open BRS anatomy for the pelvis practical next week. To say I'm frightened of this block is an understatement, and to think that head and neck is just over the horizon.

BRS questions seem pretty good so far. I tried Gray's and I find that their questions are a little more ambiguously written. Overall, I like the quality of BRS more. Having said that, Gray's has tougher questions.

BRS anatomy questions + UMich had me in the 90's for written anatomy tests. I barely scratched 70% correct on BRS anatomy too...

Written anatomy exams: Umich, brs.
practicals: Anki decks for spelling, drawing out different parts like the plexus, antebrachial anastomoses, etc etc.

Found it more helpful to really get the positioning of structures (essentially the practical anatomy part) down first before hitting brs or umich questions.
