Hey guys, could you tell me how the questions in the end of chapter review tests and the comprehensive exam at the end of these books compare in terms difficulty and penicketty-ness to the actual usmle step 1?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Luc.

These end-chapter q's are too simple compared to the q's that will show up on the actual exam. The q's on the back of both these books are more regurgitive whilst the Step 1 q's are more 2nd or 3rd order q's. Focus on doing Robbin's Review Book which is like over 1,100 q's... these are nice and difficult, if you can do well on these you'll find the Step 1 path q's easy.... at the same time... make sure to do all of the physio, path and pathophy q's on UW.... just drill yourself until it all sticks.

Good luck

Agreed. The questions at the end of BRS Path/Physio are probably good to see if you're drifting through the reading instead of actually studying the material (a problem I frequently encounter 😛 )

But to get something more representative of the actual exam you'll probably want to hit the question banks. (USMLEWorld seems to be the favorite around here)

While I don't have any personal experience with the book, I will echo Darlyn's comments and say that Robbins Review of Pathology has also been a highly praised source for path questions.
