I am currently in an 8-year BS/MD program (no MCATS required). I'm finishing up my sophomore year, and I was wondering if I should do research/internships/shadowing this coming summer. My program does not require these extracurricular activities (besides a minimal amount of volunteer hours). What do you guys think I should do? Is there any point of doing research/internships?
