Hello all I am in a Bachelors of science program to doctorate of nursing practice program. Half way through you get your Masters. Which I just obtained. I have decided to pursue medicine. Should I just drop out of the DNP? I really don’t see any reason to pursue that degree but I am concerned on how it may look to med school admissions.

Of note I have not formally registered or started any of the DNP degree courses.

Thank you all in advance for your help

I think you'd be at a good stopping point. You can address in your app and when you are interviewing that you pivoted at this point and decided on med school. Anyone reasonable will understand that if you intend on going to medical school, continuing down the DNP path is a relative sunk cost if it would be explained to them in a reasonable way.

Thank you kindly for your response. This makes total sense.
