BU Acceptance Thread

i called yesterday to see what my status was since a lot of you guys are getting letters about 2 weeks after the interview...she said that it takes 4-6 weeks? i dont understand why it would take longer for some people especially since i read that some already heard back despite having a later interview date...whatever the case i guess i'll just wait it out 😎
 
bigwillie, i have been in ur situation at other schools on several occasions....its best to just say screw it....if u do hear good news then thats awesome, but it usually means that they haven't accepted nor rejected u and then wut they end up doing is re-reviewing ur stuff and eventually u recieve an awesome waitlist or rejection letter...it all makes for a sweet summer...good luck!😎 the admissions people will never hesitate to fill u full of bs when u call them...its typically just some lady that has no idea what ur status is, she just wants to get u off the phone so she can go about her business...anyways, im not saying give up, im just saying be aware...i have plenty of experience here:laugh: :luck:

I'm also waiting on BU for my post-interview verdict! When did you interview?

hey..i interviewed on a monday, February 12...im not losing hope yet because at the interview they did say it would take 2-6 weeks..i was just surprised that most people received theirs by 2 weeks...but anyways i appreciate the advice SirShagaLot

How did they let you know? letter? How long ago?
I ask cause I interviewed early feb and haven't heard a thing :scared:.
 
i got a very small envelope in the mail. they haven't updated aadsas yet, but apparently they update every friday. hope that helps.
at least they must be putting a lot more thought into your application.

ah...im sorry 😎 im getting annoyed now just waiting the days away....at this point i dont even care if im rejected i just wanna know what my status is 😡
 
i am just wondering, in general, if anyone that has waited like a month or longer, actually gets accepted....?

everyone seems to have been accepted within a couple of weeks. 🙁

I called last Monday and they told me a decision was made but they couln't tell me over the phone, that I would have to wait for it in the mail. But its been a week almost and nothing has arrived (do larger enveloped take longer by mail than small envelopes??? I sure hope so :laugh: )
Has anyone been informed of their status over the phone when they called?
 
I love how this thread went from "BU acceptance" to "oh god what the hell is happening to the status of my application!"

i had the same thing happen with NYU....they told me a decision had been made and could not say what..and then came a rejection that day! 🙁

i sent a thank you card and email, each to two separate schools.

one rejection, one waitlist.

it just doesnt matter.

for BU, i didnt send anything this time. but i loved them more than any other school. 🙂
 
I was interviewed on feb 27th. My interviewer was very sweet and warm. I guess it was the best interview i ever had. One of other interviewees said we'll be notified in two weeks. I wasn't told of that but it seems like most ppl get response in two weeks.
Has anyone got accepted after long weeks of waiting? I wish I get something this week, otherwise I need to work another year at quizno's. lols. No offense to sandwich lovers.
 
does anyone know what the chances are of getting off the alternate list?

because i remembering reading that you interviewed awhile ago, like me....

and i have yet to hear. i really want to go there!! 😱

I interviewed early Feb, the letter they sent was dated march 5th, so it took them a month to decide I guess. It was my top choice, but what can you do... Just b/c i got waitlisted after a long wait, doesn't mean you will.

not yet, i think the ppl actually have to get to work first before they can update anything... quite anxious huh?

Dont worry about it, from what I heard most ppl receive something in the mail before aadsas is updated. And, ya thats pretty anxious... relax its not the end of the world (I came to that realization after many sleepless nights as well)

hey armin... when did you interview?? Bu is a good school... they're facilities suck compared to their price. I think tufts is better in that way. BUt they're faculty is great and way friendly, and they have that apex program.

but yeah, could you let me know when you interviewed and who you interviewed with? thanks.
 
in jan...does any one know what is the chance of being accepted off the waiting list...say you are waitlisted in march!?

Because i'm approaching the 5 week mark and have not heard anything. I called the school last week and they said a decision has not been made for me yet. I wonder if it's still possible to be accepted after so long. Your response could give me some relief.

I also waited about 5 weeks for my response, it seems like ppl who got in were informed in like 2 weeks... I got waitlisted.
 
Just found out I got into Boston University! Is there a facebook site for the school yet?

i found out i got accepted today. haven't received the letter yet...but found out on AADSAS!! 😀 so excited!! so yea...facebook group?
