i an really very worried as i gave my interview on 18 nov and nothing is heard.i heard 3 candidates have been selected from that batch .DOES NO NEWS FROM THEM MEANS REJECTION

I have a couple of questions ,i had applied during the 2nd week of august to BU and i did receive a letter from them a month ago that they received my application etc but after that i have not heard from them at all.I am kind of suprised and worried as i did expect to hear from them sooner.I called them but seems like they will let me know by snail mail if my application is incomplete etc.Are their any others like me??My stats are Part 1- 93 part 2- 85 GPA-4.0 and TOEFL -290.I sent the official copies a long time back and have confirmed that they have been sent so this waiting is killing me 🙄 .
Can you or anyone shed some light on these murky issues??Will be really appreciated.

the fact is true that BU accepted most candidates last year with a part -1 score of above 90....
but this year the picture is not true.....while they r accepting candidates above 90 mostly......there r many who have a score b/w 90-93 and r kinda on the waiting list...(that includes me too)....

Nicole just wouldn't let out that information! 🙄 I guess the number of those put on the waiting list is increasing....well i feel we should start a new thread for it altogether
It is easy for me to laugh about it now but trust me guys i am too scared myself. Nicole says that it could take them as long as April to reach a final decision ....about our destiny.Hope we get lucky ultimately and that this long wait proves worthwhile!!!

Like you are asking Cleo to cheer up... Im asking you to do so.... Chill GPG.. worry not. Think of it as this way... YOU chose to suffer........YOU.
There are people back in your home town who think..that they should have gone abroad... They chose not tto...and are still suffering there....

I dont meant to sound Philosphical but its good you chose to fight it... The taste of victory only comes from the sweat you put in to get it. Nothing in life is served in a plate.... people who got in......>>> Have worked their "you-know-what" to get there....

Patience and trust in what you do....will help you through this and any stage in life. If its for you..nothing in this world can stop you from getting it. But yes make sure you put in your best at what you do. Make wise decisions... If u stilll think it wud be better there...go for it.... else make most of it here.

i interviewed at BU too... and my interview was great. Atleast I felt my interviewer was very impressed....... So now I just have to hold on and wait... BU is my first and last hope... God know what will happen... But it will be fine...Im not worried.

You too dont worry....... Pray to god.. Do your daily stuff and make moost of your day. tThis goes for all of us not only gpg....

Kind of a weird question Isnt it?

Who wouldnt like to have a FED-EX guy or a Robot (I ROBOT) knocking on your door Monday morning well I guess all of us.

Well that is the bare truth, wether we like those words or not, lets just hope for the best guys.

You Aravind, you have a great PROFILE my friend , dont come now with a lack of motivation, I could be sure you are gonna get in, and if not somewhere else they will welcome you.

In my case, no offense, but I have made peace with my soul, a couple of years ago Trisha Yearwood (Country Singer) wrote a song called: "IF IT WILL IT WILL"

I am 100% sure we all tried to give our best shot, and sure we did... Now it all falls in the grace of the almighty.

So Guys??????? lets have a decent weekend, lets take it easier when we loggon RUSHING TO SEE THE UPENN ACCEPTANCE THREAD FOR 2005.

And for those who get accepted next week, never loose a humble attitude towards life, some of us may be left behind ( but just for a while), and some of us might RUSH TO THE DOOR AND SEE THE FED-EX GUYwith the long awaited prize.

I want to thank you all for your support about my rejection, I think I have taken one step front in outspokenly comunicating my rejection, cause there is a common need INSIDE OF ALL THE REJECTED to let it come out and do some emotional hygiene.

Well after an Adrenaline Rush, I went out of my room and gazed the sky and said to myself;

AS LONG AS WE LIVE THERE WILL BE A CHANCE.

I am leaving tomorrow to L.A. cause I have an Interview at USC and wont be back until next week, so for all of you I wish all the luck and If you get rejected lets just reorganize and fight back harder, If I dont get accepted this time in the other Universities my plan is very simple:
I am going to RETAKE PART 1 (current 88).
welcome all the PM's whoever wants to join in.

as the late Ronald reagan used to say;

"Grace Under Pressure" no matter the adversities always give it a smile, we only have 2 choices;

1.- Get depressed and be sorry for yourself for the coming months and feel like a looser.
OR
2.- Reorganize, set your strategy again, plan ahead and start with Part 1 again under one implacable conditon YOU HAVE TO SCORE HIGHER.

i interviewed at BU sometime back, but just didnt have time to write in. Well here is ....
It's coool. It starts with a discussion of the day's agenda, a tour by an Advanced standing student, then we return to where we started from... back to the base....then Lunch and interview goes hand in hand...
You get interviewed by only one interviewer... and its really cool and relaxed.
Be yourself, Confident, smile when u feel like it....They are not going to make you uncomfortable or anything. Take a moment and answer if you must....
Dont be conscious..just relax....
Capture that moment... In a moment you can proove yourself...That moment will be yours...
Dont be aggressive or too timid......be just normal....Smile..that will easy you up.
Listen to your fav songs or your fav movie a day b4.....atleast thats what I did...that will help you relax....

I am full of confusion and anticipation......thankfully this site seems to be my answer.......

I took my national boards in late september......and applied to BU, UPENN and NYU.......my BU interview is on 20th Jan
NYU.............27th Jan
UPENN..........10th FEB

The fcat that i applied pretty late....do you guys think that it might affect my chances of getting in???since many seats might have been filled by now..

Secondly........what is generally asked in an interview? General topics or denatl stuff..??????

I`ll really appreciate if you guys can help me out a little bit.......
