Did you already get IV from BU? I am confused by your post since I got email from BU today and it says:

"Thank you for applying to the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine’s Advanced Standing DMD Program. We have received your application fee, and your application is now complete.

At this point, while Admissions staff is readying for the beginning of orientation, the review process has not begun. "

I too don't understand what they mean,I applied in May but so far did not receive any email saying if my application is under review or not.But many others already got so and also interview invitations for Oct.I think they conduct interviews till the end of the year,so we still could keep up our hopes.

PS: I too got the same email saying my application is complete and they haven't started reviewing.Maybe they meant they haven't started reviewing mine,I don't know🙁

That's right,they prefer people with stats as what you've mentioned.But I believe many times they've accepted people with lesser scores too.No idea how many people/batches they've invited yet.And I too think they send "application under review emails" to only those who've been invited.
Hopefully we all will get a call soon!

Last year's average is 90, so that means they definitely accept people with score less than 90, so everybody cheer up. Hope the good news is coming soon.

hi uth, u will definitely get a call from them..remarkable score ..i got a mail that my application is complete and will be active unless u hear from our side as it undergo multiple reviews.

Hi you have 100% chances for BU👍. But you have to wait as first they are serving candidates with part-1-92-96 . When this flow will over ppl with less than 90 will be called.
Did you receive application under review E-mail? As they send this e-mail only to future candidates.

According the email i received, BU dental school is busy in giving orientation to new students now. They will resume reviewing application after this. I guess probably it will be sometime in September.

Don't worry bro. Don't know about Upenn as they prefer Exp. and master's degree over the part-1 score but you will get news from BU soon.👍

There is no chance that they say no to you.i think if you got intrview from upenn u will def get one from bu.good luck.

It is still too early for Upenn and BU. So be patient.

Part I score is very important. But if you do not prepare other parts of application very well, you may have trouble to get invitation.

no it means that if ure considered for admission in the school, they wont need to interview you as they've already met with you last year. Its like u're a new applicant in regards to consideration, but when it comes to the interview, u've already done with it

BU does not call people interviewed before again for an interview,if they get rejection and again if they apply there is no interview in accepting them thats all it meant.Dont worry jus be positive.I was rejected without interview last year, this year I have got interview invitation.Let us all try to be optimistic.Good luck to all.

mine are;87/97/3.58 and my wife's;87/94/3.84...we r bit worried dat bu only call those wid 90+part 1 and 100+toefl...is there aNNNY chance for us??😡😕

BU is very easy to get into. The interview process is pretty casual. The questions are personal and no clinical questions are asked. Do not get tensed or worry too much. The questions are like:

1. What school did you graduate from?
2. How many crowns/FPD/ root canals have you done?
3. Why BU?
4. What are your plans in the future....etc., etc.

You don't have to prepare for those questions. Just be sure to read your SOP well and also read a little about the school.

I am sure a lot of you will get into BU. It is a good school and the faculty is really nice. I am lucky to be here!!

hi there!!good to know dat u r a bu student...can u tell me wat chance i stand for bu with 87 in part 1 AND 97 in toefl, 3.58 gpa alongwith 3 yrs of exp as MDS in perio in my home country,1 yr of observership here in canada with strong lors😕i can rewrite my toefl to get 100+ if i get to know that bu is also accepting part 1 scores <90...

Well if your application goes under review then you have more chances, as early your application goes into review more chance, but this is a game of wait and luck so there is no confirmation that you will get interview call. so just wait and watch keep patience thats all i can say, and obviously if your application goes into review you have really good chance because many times applicants resume is not strong enough and BU dnt take under review also. All the best.
