hey dude i'll be seeing you at BU if i don't get into UBC or UofA.

UWO; it's just so much cheaper. Plus, I like their curriculum.
Isn't UWO perhaps just a tad bit easier to get into than UofT. Their average incoming class percentage is like 88% based on the best 2 years. Yo dackmonkey and tamkhan, did you do the math on your academic records? How do you guys match up to the stats if you don't mind me asking?
well for UBC i didn't do any conversion. i just applied and let them worry about it. for UofA they look at your GPA which didn't require any conversion.
UWO feeds everything into a computer and lets it do all the work. They have an RC cut off every year, which I think is strange and unfair, since they throw your file away if you don't meet that RC cut off, even if you have an average of a 100%! I've applied to UWO twice in the past, so I have my averages memorized, pretty much😛.
UWO is easier than UofT for sure. I think it's even better than UofT, in certain ways. UofT is unbeatable when it comes to specialties, though.
I wish I would have applied to UWO. I make all the cut offs but I'm iffy about my avarage. By the way, just to keep this thread in perspective, congrats on your BU acceptance and I understand you have a Tufts invite as well. Best of luck on that interview man!!!
Thanks man. Yeah, when it comes to applications, I pretty much apply to places I THINK I can get into, without considering their cut offs and what not. When I applied to UWO for the first time, it was mainly because my friends just kept on pushing me😛. I thought my averages weren't high enough. But, I got an interview, so it wasn't that bad.

At my interview, the admissions director told us that since there are so many applications, it is difficult for the whole 'committee' to meet for every individual. So, the interviewer has, more or less, a 100% authority on making the decision. I guess a committee does meet in certain cases.

for some reason, i'm having trouble accessing AADSAS from my home computer, so can't see if the status has been updated.
on friday (2/8), AADSAS was not updated (even though the letter was postmarked 2/8), but I received the letter the next day.
