BU and Tulane final decision dates

I was accepted over the phone to both BU and Tulane. I haven't received paperwork yet, but am leaving the country on April 4th for 2 weeks. Does anyone know WHEN these schools need to know and how MUCH the deposit is?

Im just concerned it will come while I'm away and I won't have a chance to respond before the deadline.

the paperwork I received from BU said please reply by March 25th.
the deposit was $250 I think (I already sent in the form).

if you plan on attending you might want to call the admissions office Monday, and ask for an extension?

There is no deadline at Tulane and no deposit is needed.

I've heard that some schools will give you funds to travel to visit them. Is there any fund like that at Tulane?

Totally a pipedream, but I'd love to visit instead of going sight unseen.

I'm leaning towards Tulane for Maternal and Child Health. Thoughts?

I don't believe Tulane offers any funding for travel. I went down for their open house a couple weeks ago and I had to pay for my own travel expenses.

I talked to a few people at their open house who were there for maternal and child health. I will be enrolling at Tulane this fall for infectious disease epidemiology. Good luck with your decision!

Same here with BU. I have a feeling the decision deadline depends on when they admit you. I believe the deposit is $250 and it counts toward your tuition.

I would like to know myself whether BU offers travel funding for visiting them (though I'm guessing they don't).

Watereverywhere--when were you accepted? I will be back in the country on the 18th, but wanted time to fly to Tulane first to visit before I told them. Is it poor form to ask for an extension?

For my application at BU the deadline was stated as March 25th (I applied to the International Health department). I called and asked for an extension and were happy to give me one.
