BU Email???? What does it mean???

Just received this e-mail from BU:

Thank you for submitting an application to Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Your application is currently under review.
We are in the process of reviewing files and inviting candidates to interview with us. Our interview cycle is underway and we will continue to meet with candidates through mid March of 2012.

Does this mean I'm not getting a pre-December interview? Or is this some sort of continuing review process?

Applied 6/2, mailed out was first batch. AADSAS under review 7/13 or something like that.
Got out of class, saw BU, freaked out... got the same e-mail

Can't say for sure... but it appears that way (at least from my standpoint)

I know VCU did the same thing to me earlier. AADSAS under review in July. Got a email late september saying my application was under review.

I think schools just send these mass e-mails out to students stop calling/freaking out, as their application IS being reviewed and not lost/thrown away.

I got it today and I was a late applicant (late Aug-early Sep). Sounds like they were just sending it to everyone.

i got that email at 10:45 or so then got the interview invite email around 2:30, weird. Hopefully you all get the same.

I got the same email, my app was mailed out near mid August, and my DAT scores were submitted last week, I guess they just sent it to everyone lol

I received that email yesterday morning as well. But when I checked my email again later on in the day they sent me an invite! It's for Jan 20...first one for me!

haha... they do mess with our minds! i remember right before they sent me an acceptance letter, they sent me an email asking if I was interested in joining the 2014 class.

I was like... umm... i didn't spend $500 to fly out to Boston to interview for ****s and giggles. Ofcourse I'm interested!!! haha.

To all of you who applied to BU, they have a rolling cycle. My app was sent out in the first or second batch when I applied and I didn't get an interview invite from BU till Feb.

So don't worry! Everything will work out 😀

I received my interview invite in Feb. Scheduled it for the first week in March. They said they would send out the acceptances in mid april after finishing interviews in March. I received my acceptance in mid April like they said. There were people in my interview group that received their acceptances on the same date too.
