I have an interview for the alternate list for BU on April 10th. I really want to attend BU. What are my chances of getting in? Do you have any advices, and is it alright to tell them that I have already been accepted to another school?

I think your chances at this stage maybe somewhat slim, but I would be optimistic and still attend the interview.

I interviewed at BU about a month ago, and I thought I was super late in the cycle, but got in a month later. At the interview, I mentioned I got into other schools in my state, and don't think that effected my chances at all. It's upto you if you want to mention it, honesty never hurts.

Good luck on 4/10.

Hey Juyylee, they actually told you that you were interviewing for the alternate list?! I've been invited to interview soon, but they told me it was for admittance to the class, not the waitlist.

yeah that's what I thought too when I talked to the person on the phone. She said that the class was over 3/4 full. But the e-mail said the opposite.

Thank you for your interest in Boston University. Please be advised that your interview will be for the alternate list. We currently have no active positions open, but you can attend your interview, which will be for a spot on the alternate list. Candidates are chosen off the alternate list if other applicants withdraw their position at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to respond to this email. If you would like to withdraw your application, your can do so by responding to this email.

I'd still go...if the class is 3/4 full, then that leaves almost 30 spots available.

IF you were told the class is 3/4 full, then I would trust that statement over the email.

Although, the class (technically) is not full, because there are still pending acceptance to applicants who haven't paid their deposits yet. So, 3/4 really means 3/4 of the class paid their $3,000 deposits, while the rest has received offers, or will be interviewed to fill the remaining seats.
