Is there any chance for me to get a call? my stats 89/100/3.72
coz my toefl is only 100, donno they will consider me.
Do i need to improve it?
I applied to Upenn too..But no news from them..
was interviewed at UIC...no news from them.
Overall life is becoming quite depressing now..🙁

Elra u are going to get in, I cannot fanthom why u wouldn't. I think its pretty much a waiting game but you will get in. I have read some of ur previous posts and I am rooting for you to get in.

I also am trying to get into school and hoping I can before this year runs out. Please don't let the whole thing make u so miserable cos there is no way in hell u are not going to get in.

is that everyone who gets an interview call get an intimation from BU thet their application is under review...???As two of my frens got such email from bu last wk...!!please clear my doubt..

Congrats on your interview call.. I applied thru CAAPID on 16th as well.. I have not heard any thing from them after I paid the fee online.. Getting nervious.. when did you get the call?

The ones who got their interview calls, I just wanted to confirm that you got your invitations just on the basis of CAAPID application and the fee sent, right?? They don't ask for any other documents before they call for interview..I hope I am correct..Can u guys pls confirm..
I sent my application in first week of aug. and then the fees, but still not heard from them 🙁🙁

I applied in mid July to CAAPID. no interview yet.
my credentials are ..
89 part I
80 part II
101 toefl
3.65 gpa
3 months shadowing exp.

no idea what to do to improve my profile?

You have everything to get you an interview call, just be optimistic and patient, your credentials will soon work for you. good luck

is there any way to know if the nbde score has been sent boston from ada .will ada send any mail that they have sent the report .i have sent them the application along with the fees .please kindly someone tell
 
wel dey d ada does not mail nethin regardin forwardin ur scores...dey send out d additional reports 3 weeks aftr dey recieve ur request form...

i think u shud....i dunno if il get a call or no frm BU but i jus kept one sealed copy jus in case...
 
After CAAPID,they will send u link 4 applicatn fees......N thats all 4 us.....
After interview call email,they will ask 4 NBDE score report n TOEFL score...........
U can send them SEALED copy of NBDE score from home too..........
 
Did anyone try to change the interview date? I confirmed my interview date, and now I just can't attend on that date 🙁

n i have a gpa of 3.19.
do u think i wud bable to meet the deadlines of boston,
is the admission first cum first serve based..
do i stand a chance of being called for the interview if i get a score 85plus.

Boston generally calls top of the pile NBDE scores. towards the end of any session, it becomes even more difficult as they already have many applicants to choose from.
why are you worrying abt all this now? put your best into the exam and then try your luck. u may score much above 85. 90 above will make sure you get an IV from BU.

You can call them and explain your situation and if your date is not too close I am sure sure you will be able to find a way out.

It is too early to think of the consequences after your exam. All you should do now is to get the maximum score possible. It is common for us students to be distracted by such thoughts, keep your mind cool by not thinking of the if and but's. A good score will surely earn you a admission. good luck.
 
congrats everyone on getting an interview call from BU . Gaya, have u not taken the nbde 2? kindly, share ur stats? also can u let me know of a place where i can go to learn crown cutting. thanks

hi guys my stats are -
nbde part 1 (dec 2008) - 86'
degrees - BDS, MDS (orthodontics)
EXP - 1.5 yrs - consultant orthodontist in india
gpa - 3.1 ; toefl - 114
have applied to - upenn, bu, usc, umn and uthscsa
not heard from any of the universities as yet; am a little concerned now dont know what to do
 
Ortho14... donot worry... its matter of waiting game... you will get the call soon... when did you apply at Upenn and Boston... I know USC haven't send out invites yet.. so keep on waiting. I am in same boat as you....

thanks dentist 34 my applicaion was complete in the first week of sep for both u penn and bu. but my umn app was complete end of aug,

Now to improve your chances, you can give the part2 nbde as you have done your masters you will be comfortable with part2 preparation. Good luck. Have you applied to nyu as well.
 
i got an email today afternoon .. and a week back i had got the application under review email ..

my stats are
NB 1 - 89
TOEFL- 107
GPA - 3.97 (ECE)
 
thanks possible i have actually regiven my part 1 and am waiting for my new score it wil be out anytime now. i have not yet applied to nyu am still considering that.
