I got one in october too. I don't understand why some people get really late interviews? does this mean that people who are interviewed earlier have greater chance of getting in? don't know.
to starz,
my stat is
overall 3.4/ science 3.5/ BCP 3.3
DAT 21/22/16

Hey I'm glad you brought that up. I got an interview on december 11, AFTER the first round of acceptances. I was a bit dissappointed since I had my AADSAS in early June and paid them right away. Anyway my stats:
overall gpa 3.73
science gpa 3.7
BCP gpa 3.7
AA: 22
PAT: 19
TS: 22

Are the above mentioned posters outstaters??
I have concured with spok and he thinks, as well as I that if most of you are out of staters that you would probably get picked up by your instate school by december 1st. hence interviewing really late like in January. Just in case your instate school does not accept you, then you have your interviews in january for your outstate schools.
Saves a lot of money on interviews.

I received the BU interview today on Oct.8
is there anyone who is scheduled on that day?
I dont know if I should wait to confirm the date because I am also expecting to get the interview from some schools in NY and MA.
I don't want to go to east coast more than once just because of interview purpose.
waste of money, time and effort.

bu received my aadsas app. on 9/9 and they sent out a interview invitation letter on 9/10. so they basically reviewed my app. in one day. i didn't even pay the app. fee or turn in my passport photo and i got an interview invite. is that normal?
however, my interview seems kind of late-- it is in early January. would that mean my chances of getting accepted to BU is lower than someone who has an interview in october, assuming all other things pretty much equal?
also, i hear that they notify of acceptances as early as dec. 1, and so if i have an interview in january, then does that mean i am interviewing maybe for alternate spots?
😕

no no..plenty of people interview after dec. 1st..right on until april. they don't burn all their acceptance spots in the first round of interviews of course. i wouldn't worry. i'm only probably going to get interviewed in march since im applying late november. its not that big a deal if your scores are solid.

Don't worry!
BU is one of the easiest school to get in and as long as you have good stat you will be fine. I had my interview last year after Dec 1, and I got accepted two days after my interview. And I am positive that as long as you have good gpa and dat, you will be in for sure.
i originally got a january interview date but i called the school and rescheduled to a date in november. i definitely wanted to interview before the big dec. 1 date. i think there are a lot of earlier interview dates available- just call and ask. 👍

Did you get interview date by mail or you looked up online at Infosource website?drmojjo said:I got my interview on OCT first, actually we were the first group to be interviewed for class of 2009. 🙂

Do they post interview dates on Infosouce website too?drmojjo said:first I found out on Infosouce and after 2 days I got an invitation in the mail./
The reason I am asking is that I changed my address last week 😱. On monday I called BU and changed my address. Still I am little worried about getting mail on the right address. On the Infosouce website they posted invitation for interview on 30th Sept, but I didn't get the interview date yet.
Thanks in advance 🙂

They don't post interview dates on Infosource. They just inform you that you are invited for an interview. You will be notified of the date in the letter you will be receiving. Or, i guess you can call BU and find out directly. 👍
Please don't freak out on BU everybody.
Here is how i look at it. BU is almost the easiest school to get in. I am sure everyone of you has a list of which school you want to go most. So go to those school for interviews before Dec 1st, and then if you don't get accepted by any one of those school after Dec 7th, go to the interview at BU. Save youself some money this way. They are not a very good school and they are totally overpriced. Don't waste your time unless you have no other choice. My two cents.

i agree, based on statistics, that BU is an easy school to get into, and yes it is expensive. however, i do not think that because it is easy and expensive, that necessarily means its a bad school. i still believe that BU has a solid program, from what i've read on the forums, and yes, if you don't get into any other schools, you'll prob get into BU. But i don't think its the end of the world, and that BU is a good school. In the end, its what you make of it.
mikey13 said:I got an interview with BU in January (Stats: 3.6GPA, DAT: 20/20/21), I was pretty sure it was a late interview cause I didn't get my AADSAS in until July. I too opted for a regional interview in November, but I'm wondering if they give the same time limit to make a decision on attendance if you have an interview in November versus January. I would like to hear from a couple other California schools before I have to make a decision on BU, but does this earlier interview mean I have to reserve a spot (if I get in to BU) before I hear from the Cali schools? And what is infosource, is that a place to check your status at BU?
infosource is a website where you check the status of the dental schools you applied to-- although, not all dental schools participate in this infosource service. BU participates in this infosource service but i think they only provide information about whether you were granted an interview or not-- and nothing more. the website address is infosource.adea.org.
