Hi,
I’m applying to post bacc programs at BU and the Dartmouth CECS. Both of them want letters of rec on their forms, but I graduated a year ago and now live 6 hours away from my college. Is it okay to send the letters of rec I already have on file? Or will they completely throw out my app for not having the letters in their format! Has anyone had this problem in the past? Any help would be great!

Thanks in advance!

this may help...i went to University of Illiniois in Champaign Urbana and they don't deal with paper recommendations, nor do they fill out the BU forms. I called when I applied and BU told me that the system we have is fine. Our school files the recommendations on a third party system, and then I release them online to the universities. So, to answer your question, I would call and make sure, but I did not use their format, nor the rec sheets they gave me, I just had my profs write recs and submit them to our career center, and then I released them to BU without ever looking at the format. BTW, in case your wondering I did get in, so I guess the format did not matter.

great thanks!
