I was originally scheduled to have my BU interview on Dec. 13. I was disappointed since I wouldn't be interviewing until after the first round of acceptances. However, I responded to the regional interview option and ended up doing my interview in Orlando (only 2 hours away) on October 1. I would like to have gone to boston but I will go later if I ever hear back from harvard or tufts. I didn't want to waste money to go to boston 3 different times. Anyways the admissions officer was nice but he basically alluded that BU is a "last resort" school and that is why they interview a little later, so that people who don't get into their first choice schools can have something to fall back on. I was a bit blown away and DO NOT wish to attend a school that is a "back up". Anyone else hear anything like this or have a similar experience. It may have been that my interviewer was a dentist but an army reserve as well and going to FIGHT in Iraq in february!!! I couldn't believe it.
