I was originally scheduled to have my BU interview on Dec. 13. I was disappointed since I wouldn't be interviewing until after the first round of acceptances. However, I responded to the regional interview option and ended up doing my interview in Orlando (only 2 hours away) on October 1. I would like to have gone to boston but I will go later if I ever hear back from harvard or tufts. I didn't want to waste money to go to boston 3 different times. Anyways the admissions officer was nice but he basically alluded that BU is a "last resort" school and that is why they interview a little later, so that people who don't get into their first choice schools can have something to fall back on. I was a bit blown away and DO NOT wish to attend a school that is a "back up". Anyone else hear anything like this or have a similar experience. It may have been that my interviewer was a dentist but an army reserve as well and going to FIGHT in Iraq in february!!! I couldn't believe it.

Your interviewer told you that BU is a last resort school? what da... that sucks that a repesentative of the school would proudly admit that their school is a backup school and that that is why they interview people a little late. Are you sure he said that? Or are you just interpreting subtle implications (what is meant by "basically alluded?")... 😕

my original interview date was in january but i called the school and rescheduled it to a date in november. if i do get an interview invite from tufts, i guess i will have to make two trips to boston-- all the way from cali!! oh well, it'll be worth it in the end... hopefully... 😱

How was it at that regional interview? I got my interview on Nov 9th but I wanted to go ahead and do the regional interview in Dallas but the regional is not until Dec 20 whick is after the big DEC 1 DATE.

I have interview at BU this friday
I am flying from CA. more excited to go to trip than to have an interview.
is anyone going this friday?
it would be nice to know someone before I go.

Hey just wanted to know how many people BU interviews. because i just got an interview for Nov 1.

the regional interview was okay. I mean it is definately not the same experience as going to the choice sochool. For me BU is not my first choice so I opted to save money. Good luck
