My applications have been complete at UNECOM, NYCOM, CCOM, AZCOM,DMUCOM since before Christmas. Since NYCOM does the whole "no secondary" thing, my app there has been complete since before Thanksgiving. I have called them and they keep saying "it's under review, blah, blah, blah." They also said that they inform by mail about rejections and/or invites. Has anyone that has applied to these schools had similar experiences? If they are going to flat out reject you, do they let you know pretty quickly? I haven't been outright rejected yet, but I'm becoming a bit peckish with the whole rush to the mailbox/email box and nothing but junkmail/offers for cialis.

Thanks

KCOM actually sent me a Christmas email greeting. I was so excited because they send invitations by email, then I opened it. +pissed+

I haven't heard anything from PCOM and NYCOM. My files have been complete since mid-August so, your wait is shorter than mine. Both schools prefer in-state applicants, and residents of states surrounding thier state.

last year when i applied i didn't receive anything from most schools until feb-march. my stats weren't that great so i'm sure they put me near the bottom of the pile. this isn't to say that you have bad stats or are a weak applicant. every person and applicant is different. however, don't get discouraged...just keep up on them to show your interest. also, if you're in school now, send them your fall semester grades, maybe even a new LOR from someone if they can get it out quickly. you want to show your interest in them more than anything. they have hundreds to a couple thousand applications to go through so they're not going to chase after you.

Almost everyone I know here in NY, including myself, got an interview at NYCOM within weeks of submitting their applications. So, don't take it personally, they just really want NY residents I think! Too bad it doesn't make a difference in our tuition! 🙂

Cialis... LOL. That is funny that you mention the "its under review" remark. I too have gotten that comment. What does that mean exactly? Is it just me or is NYCOM one of the more "abrupt" schools to speak with over the phone?

I have applied to NYCOM, UMDNJ-SOM, UNECOM, DMU, and NSUCOM... with the only response from LECOM-Erie. My files were complete roughly by late August.

Are you on "hold status" anywhere?

Good luck with the apps.
