Buffalo - continuing review?
Started by dentalgal3123
I would call. I was placed under continuing review but they never sent the letter and I found out when I called for a status check. I retook my DATs in october and turns out they hadn't actually put my DAT scores in my file. Maybe they missed something with you too? Even if that's not the case, before realizing that my scores weren't in my file, they told me that it might help to send in an email or fax regarding anything you've done that improves your application. Best bet is to call and ask yourself though.
...... and the result was? geez leave us hangin there!!😕🙂I was on the continuing review last year and it took them 3 months to give me their results.

based on his status as pre-dental, I'm going to assume a no

how do people wait with a "continuing review" status before they invited you to an interview?
they're continuing to review your file to decide if they want to invite you for an interview or not
what's the point of doing a PRE-interview waitlist? are they just waiting for the rest of the applications to come in?
how long should people with a "continuing review" status expect to wait before they send an interview invite?

Have you had an interview yet? Your pre-dents status says waitlisted.....
no interview 🙁 it's the closest status I could find for "continuing review'... continuing review is actually worse though...
so does anyone know how long should people with a "continuing review" status expect to wait before they send an interview invite?

Seems like I never answered my post above back in Jan. I was placed under continuing review and I recall that I waited for a few months (2-3) only to receive a rejection letter from UB. In addition, I never had a chance to interview at UB that year.
However, don't let my experience scare you as I'm sure there are those under continuing review that received interviews and acceptances. At this point just wait it out. I know it's hard to not stress over it but you've done all you could up to this point and the rest is up to adcoms.

I believe the correct way to show your status is in the applied category. Waitlisted would be if you had an interview and your AADSAS status says 'waitlisted'
There is no set waiting period that I know of. I think you just have to wait and/or call them to check the status of your application.

Yes I am a second time applicant. I applied 2 years back for the class of 2012 but didn't get anywhere. I went with plan B, which was 1 year MA program and re apply. So the second time around I got UB.
