Will be interviewing at SUNY Buffalo soon. I just want to ask if anyone who interviewed at Buffalo give some advice on their writing sample. What type of topic is it? How long did they give you to write it? How long should the writing be sample be? A Paragraph, Full Page, or a sentence?

Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance.

They provide a blaknk paper with topics on top. And I heard the topics are changing in every interview.

They give you about 15mins to write, and believe me, topics are not hard to answer.

You can write a paragrah or full page, its really up to you. However, it will be very difficult to discuss your answer in one sentence

P.S. Sorry if this is inappropriate to ask you, but did you get a rejection from UPenn by snail mail? or e-mail? Thanks

Very generic question... could even be considered an interview question in my opinion. Or at least for the one that I had on my interview date.

Write however much you want. I saw varying lengths from my fellow interviewees. I wrote a lot because my hand writing was giganormous.

There is no right or wrong answer but you may be able to impress Dr. B if your thinking is in line with his.

I assure you even a non-predental student can answer the case study.

As others have said, there is no need to prepare for it 😉
they just want to know if you have coherent thought process and can put sentences together.
The admission committee members vote on your application when you are out on tour, so I don't think they will have much time to analyze your writing piece other than going over it during the interview.
Don't stress too much, and just try your best 👍

Now I am kicking myself for being the quiet one at lunch.
