Hi all - does anyone have info on Buffalo or Iowa? Starting out my interviews at these two in a few weeks, and just wanted to know a bit more about the progs - good or bad! Anyway, if anyone knows, drop a line.

Thanks

Buffalo is excellent. I graduated from medical school there. Only real complaint is the weather. It is a huge program with 9 categoricals spread over different hospitals. Great trauma program, and (I think) the nation's largest incidence of stroke (translates into a very busy vascular program with lots of interventional stuff). They also have a stand alone children's hospital and cancer center. Dr. Dayton is the chair, and I can't say enough good things about him. He is a real asset to the program, and a true role model. Good luck on the interview trail.
