I'm registered to take the MCAT this Saturday 1/28/17, and I've been studying for this exam almost everyday since the beginning of last July...I am absolutely burnt out. I don't feel like I have anything left in me. I finished content review in December, and have been doing quizzes and practice tests (4) since then. I did 3 Kaplan practice tests, and then AAMC #2 test today. Scores in order are 497, 495, 500, and finally 498 on the AAMC one today. This is my second time applying, last year I got a 496 on the real MCAT (scored 491 on every Kaplan practice exam last year). I don't know if these scores are really indicative of how I will do on test day, or if I'm just so burnt out that I'm not going to do any better....any advice??? I'm ready to put my head through a wall with how frustrated I am. I'm going to be crushed if this is how I actually score on Saturday when I've been studying so hard.

Honestly, I've heard the AAMC scores are fairly predictive. If you're shooting for a 500, then you'll probably be okay. If you're shooting for a 508, you might be disappointed.

Regardless - if you're burnt out that badly, you aren't going to retain anything anyways. Take an entire day off to do whatever you want. Don't even think about studying. Take a nap, read a novel, binge-watch Grand Tour, whatever. One single day of studying is NOT going to change your score, but being burnt out and unable to focus WILL.

I'm shooting for a ~505 on the MCAT. Which, I thought I was in range for when I got a 500 on the Kaplan #3 practice test. I can't believe I scored better on a Kaplan test then I did on the AAMC test, because the Kaplan ones are supposed to be much harder...Last year I did 5 points better on the MCAT then I did on the Kaplan practice tests

I have a schedule full of studying until Saturday, but I think I will take tomorrow off and just relax, then get back to it on Tuesday.

Try to stay positive and maybe taking a break day will help you! I believe it is recommended on here to relax a little before the exam. You're almost to test day and going into the exam burnt out and depressed won't do you any good! You got this!
