Is anyone already burnt out? this process is taking quite a toll...
Burnt out? Dude, we barely started.
Keep your heads up. The app cycle is a soul sucking leech, but it goes by so fast. It's now been over 7 months since i got word of my acceptance, yet it feelw like i just hit submit.
That made me smile, thanks. 🙂
I can only imagine...Yeah I felt burnt out for a couple weeks after my MCAT too. But like they have said once you hit submit and the secondaries start coming you don't have time to be burnt out. I think it is the first true test of medical school. If you think about it, it would be so easy to just slack off on some of the secondaries and not get them in on time, or turn in a lackluster product. The test is to stay on top of it. Most likely you will also have to keep up with school work, a job, research, volunteering, and whatever extracurriculars you have at the same time. But if you can do it, you will get those acceptances, and the time will fly by. After the first one, you will be wondering what in the world you were burnt out over. It is a good feeling, so keep going as it will only build you up. Good Luck

you say that 'cause you know you've got the right attitude-- ignoring secondaries until june 24! solidarity!
... btw, i can't believe june 24 is TOMORROW 😱

The process is such a bitch. However, in no time, you'll be getting a letter that starts like this:
Dear OSUMC,
On behalf of the Admissions Commitee, it is a pleasure for me to offer you a place in the Freshman class of August 2010. Our Admissions Committee believes you possess the necessary traits to become an outstanding physician. On behalf of our faculty and staff, congratulations on your achievement and welcome to the profession of medicine.
Trust me, it'll all be worth it...![]()
