Random thought i suppose. And I know this will depend on where people are/the population/etc BUT ... what are some of the busiest times in the ER? Late at night? During the day? between 2am-6am?
Early evening. After the family practice / walk-in clinics close, but before the time when people are too tired to come in for their $300 workup for sore throat x 3 days.Anath said:Random thought i suppose. AF_PedsBoy said:Agreed - the 5 PM to 3 AM shift is murder because parents have come home, find their kid is sick, and then come to the ER. Meanwhile, at 10:00 PM the attending coverage drops from 2-3 attendings to 1, and it becomes agonizing.
Saturday nights are busy for trauma, but overall patient load is quite small and the walk-in waiting area is virtually empty...people are too busy enjoying their weekend to come in for their "emergencies". 🙄Anath said:Random thought i suppose.
