I am trying to make a schedule for my 4th year and wondering which month do I need to take off for the interviews. Should I take December off or January off or any other month? Thanks for any advice 🙂

The two major months of interviewing are December and January (I had a few interviews in November and February). I'd personally take January off if I'd had the option (I think overall I saw more interviews available for January then for December), but either of those months would probably be ok.

I actually had one interview in Oct. But most were in Nov. and Dec. I would agree that most interviews are offered in December or January for sure.

Does applying as early as possible help get someone interviews in before the new year?

While my first interview was in October, when I look at my schedule, it's pretty evenly spread between November, December, and January. I even had 2 at the beginning of February.

I'd say yes. If you look at the interviews offered thread, you can see that a significant number of places (including many of the top-tiered programs) offered interviews by Oct 1. The earlier you put in, the better choice you have in terms of choosing a date - given that you are extended an invite in the first place.

I agree, and applying early also helps ensure you just get an interview in the first place.
