Mid 20s about to obtain my bachelors from University of Phoenix (Yes i went on campus for classes). Thinking of getting into the medical field. Doctor is out of the question, I want to get into PT. I want to complete it as fast as possible.

Anyone know how I can get the prereqs done fast? Maybe online?

Get into a good pt program?

I have the capital to open up my own PT business...

Any tricks in this area?

Ok, you probably won't get much here since I don't think there are many PT candidates on this board.

However, some basic ideas:

1) Most schools don't accept online pre-req's for nursing or medicine, so I'd assume PT is going to be the same. Plus it is hard to take online lab courses.

2) You need to look at what is required for the program you want, and then find a local school and figure out how long it will take to schedule the classes.

3) Getting into a good PT program (or any other field) is going to require excellent performance in your pre-reqs. As well, I know you won't like to hear this but be prepare to deal with your choice of undergraduate institutions. I'm not going to weigh in on the education you received, but reputations are hard to overcome.

Good luck.
