i am looking into purchasing a pda for my third year. i have searched web sites and read reviews from users. I am leaning towards a palm tungsten... however many people seem to not like it as much. i would appreciate any/all suggestions?!! thanks!

have u looked into some of the new cell phones that are coming out w pda/internet this month? They are much better than the ones that came out last year. Like the new sprint is 450 after rebate. That way u can carry 1 less thing in ur pocket.

I would worry about having a PDA/cell in parts of the hospital where cell phones must be kept off because they may interfere with equipment. If you go this route, I would make sure you can run the PDA application without having the cell phone on. You wouldn't want your phone to ring in the middle of rounds, either!

I have the Sprint TREO 650…you can use the pda functions without the phone being on. It has an expansion slot, and palm one had an offer for a free 128MB SD card.

Best PDA for the money is a Dell Axim x30 high. Hands down. 624MHz wifi and bluetooth for well under 300 bucks.

I just bought a Dell X50. I like the styling better than the X30, and it has dual expansion slots, and double the ROM. Also available with a VGA screen.

Just curious, where on earth did you find that price? Presently Dell sells that unit for 589. Actually, no Dell handhelds retail for under 300.

I love my Tungsten T3!!! Awesome and has only crashed a couple of times in the last 2 years.

Look for on-line Dell coupons for 15% off and free shipping. This will bring the Axim X30 624 Mhz below $300 (check www.aximsite.com for website with available coupons). The X50 516 Mhz is on-sale $254 and the X30 312 retail price is $279 and both have built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. No other PDA offers as much per dollar.

My big problem with Palm is that even their top of the line device doesn't have wireless. Bollox. Get an Axim.
