That's appalling. Are you in North America or western Europe?

Take one of the twitch monitors they have and stick it in your bag for your own personal exclusive use. When enough disappear, they'll buy more.

aside from the OR-provided twitch monitors, i have my own. it has a metal bridge with two balls mounted on that you plug in to two holes. i swear... it's real.

Just use cisatracurium on everyone.

The fact that cis has a different route of metabolism absolutely does not mean that either monitoring isn't necessary or that reversal is never appropriate. Hoffman degradation is magical, but it's not magical enough to make a 1-twitch person extubatable without reversal.

I bought one before residency when I held the delusion that it was a worthwhile personal investment. I didn't use it once during residency - stopped carrying it after a few weeks.

My son's puppy chewed it up when I was unpacking during my post-residency move a couple weeks ago. I wish I had my $150 back to buy a shock collar.

You could try jury-rigging what's left of the twitch monitor into a makeshift shock collar...should be good for a nice zap!
