Seems like I keep reading that USMLE is making an effort to not use buzzwords but rather more basic descriptions? Any recent test takers have insight into this? Are there still some "medical jargon" terms used that would be helpful to know?

Also, does the USMLE use brodmann's areas in neuroanatomy to describe locations, or do they use the more useful but wordy locational naming (e.g. primary visual cortex, wernicke's area, precentral gyrus, etc.)?

In my experience, they would describe a clinical deficit and have you pick which part of the labeled brain would be affected using a gross specimen.
