So I'm not having much luck with the app process. I'm on a few waiting lists, but no acceptances.

I have a 30+ mcat 3.5+ gpa from respected school lots of research EMT_B for two years, but my last semester of school I was taking orgo lab, and along with 3 other As I got a C- in the 2 credit organic lab class. I got a B and A- in the 2 semesters of organic theory.....Is this why I'm getting no love from schools? Do I need to retake it?

I seriously doubt that the organic chemistry grades would hurt you that much. I hope at least one of those schools you are waitlisted will show you some love. If not, apply again this cycle early and apply to a broad range of schools. Ask someone to evaluate other aspects of your application (personal statement, secondaries, interviewing skills, etc...)

I got a C in a 4 unit class once and I still got into a few medical schools (although they aint no Johns Hopkins). So I would say ONE C shouldnt hurt....But stick in there, Im sure you'll get off a waitlist at some point. Best of Luck!

Actually, there is a list of about 12 med schools that do NOT accept C- as a passing grade. If you received an interview(s) however it was likely not your just that grade. If you don't end up getting in and are planning on reapplying, yes, I would try to retake the class because it can't hurt. One of my friends really wanted to go to this particular school and she had taken one quarter of ochem P/NP (she passed) and they made her retake it before they would consider her. One class can make a difference if the schools are looking at details and comparing applicants.
