An advisor at school once told me that a C or better in a prereq series means that all classes in the series have to average out to a C or better. Is this true?

I have a C- in the first quarter of ochem, but I have B's in the 2nd two quarters. Will this fly or will I have to retake?

Thanks and sorry if this is a stupid question.

I believe 99% of the schools will not accept C- in any pre-req courses.

You'll have to retake. Pretty much no one accepts a C-. It will help your GPA too if you retake for an A, so don't feel too bad about it.

you'll want to retake just to make your GPA more competitive even if they will take it.

make sure the schools you will want to apply to will accept online courses if you are planning on taking it online. if not, just take it back at your school. now you'll be able to smash it and it'll probably end up being a good review for the MCAT anyway
