Out of pure curiosity of when we'll start seeing people drop like flies: What is everyone's start date?

Davis starts August 15th with a 2 week orientation. We have our white coat ceremony in there, too..

Mizzou's classes start the 22nd of August with orientation the week before. We don't get our white coats right off the bat.

Got the call yesterday! 🙂 I would like to have a week beforehand, but just before AVC called, I accepted a government-funded summer job, and since it's funded, it's got set start and end dates with a scheduled work plan for in between. The end date just happens to be August 26th. 😳 I would have liked to finish on the 19th and then have the weekend and the week to get moved and settled, but then I'd be leaving my work partner hanging for the entire last week, and that's not really fair to her, so we agreed on the 23rd.

for RVC, the int'l 4yr people have an orientation that starts Sept 15th, then "fresher's week" is the 26th, I think, and I haven't completely figured out what this is yet. Classes don't officially start until Oct 3 (so late!). But we also get out super late.

Thank you! I'm so excited! 😀 Sent in my deposit yesterday morning, and trying to work out where to live, so it's getting more real by the hour.

I don't know how I feel about the summer. I've been doing, erm, not much since exams wrapped up at the end of April. Applying for jobs, and some volunteer stuff here and there. Then I got a job, starting Monday. Original end date was Aug 26 - perfect, I thought, I'll have a week or so before classes go back in. Then AVC calls and now I'm basically finishing work and heading right to PEI. 😱 Woosh - just like that I'm suddenly totally tied up from now on! Amazing how fast things change!

At Colorado State class starts Aug 22nd, with a 1 week orientation beginning Aug 15th. Coating ceremony is on the 20th. Congrats to everyone who got in! The summer is flying by! SGU puts together a package of books and supplies for first term students and just bills us for it. we dont get to choose whether we want stuff or not, but the list they sent us today doesnt seem too unreasonable (the only thing i wish i didnt have to purchase was a 2nd stethoscope because I already have a nice one, but oh well, maybe something for large animal med haha)

We've heard relatively little from UCD since acceptance. THere is a little bit of info comnig from the facebook page. I would LOVE to start hearing about books needed, etc. We start 7 weeks from today so I guess there is still time for these things. I just over prepare for things as much as I can. Especially things that I am looking forward to!

At least moving to Davis this last weekend is keeping me busy.

Wow! That is soon! Like hunterjumper said, at NCSU we have orientation August, 4, 5, and 8 (white coat on the 6), and then classes start on the 10! I'm am very excited about everything starting up, but at the same time am enjoying the stage of my life I'm in right now...summer break. We just moved the 1500+ miles from Texas to Raleigh, and I'm still settling in! I need the month more of relaxation I have before classes start! I don't know when I'll have a free summer again (retirement maybe? ).
