I am so frustrated. I read all postings pertaining to this matter but I can't seem to find the answer. I am going to graduate in a week (thank god!) I am applying for the CA licensure exams and trying to figure out how to transfer the intern hours to CA. The BOP in my state will certify all 1500 hours from college rotations and send the verification letter (with 1500 intern hours) directly to the CA board. However, on the CA application form, it looks like I have to go to every preceptor from my rotations and have him/her sign on it. This seems ridiculous to me. Do I really have to do this even if the BOP in the state where I went to school will send the letter saying that I completed 1500 hours? I am just worried that I will get a deficiency letter If I don't submit 17A-29.. Is there anyone who applied to the CA board this year after the form changed and was able to sit for the exams?

I was able to sit for the boards in CA. You can either get all 1500 hours from your workplace or from your school, as long as a pharmacist signs the paper.

Thank you for your reply! Have you taken the exam recently?
Did you send 17a-29(intern hours affidavit)? What do I need to do to transfer 1500 hours from my school, not from my work place? Thank you for your help..

I took the NAPLEX last week and passed, still have the CPJE in a couple of weeks. You can either have your school fill out the intern hours form, or have our state BOP sign it. It doesn't matter, as long as it's a pharmacist who signs the form.

That's how I read it, I like the change, one less state to deal with, I got 1500 hours from employment so I'll just get my DOP to sign off instead of having him send it to the state THEN send that to CA.

So if the state BOP signs 17A-29 form, CA BOP will accept the intern hours?
