Do u guys really feel that we require caapid for applications?...we are paying caapid money to distribute our LORS and trascripts which will be infact cheaper if we send them with our applications and above all just submitting e-appication to caapid is not enough ,every school wants specific documents along with official scores plus money order...I guess we are ending up paying more behind every application...

Love it or Hate it, CAAPID is a centralized process modeled just like PASS/MATCH, AADSAS. It will stay.

schools would like to get Caapid, it is easier to get the same layout applications, they might not take your application seriously if it is not from caapid, because it would be so much work for them to make sure the information there is accurate and to search through it for details,
so DONT TRY to save money here.

Pass/caapid both are a waste of time and money ,they are every thing but a "centralized application system"....schools have their own supplementary application and requirements. Scores should go to school , Ece to caapid and what not.Some want scores to be sent directly from source others want them to be forwarded by the applicant with rest of the documents in one packet.
UCSF is above all....they need original LOR[even if you have sent the same through caapid], want documents to be sent to one address and the application fee at a different address. Getting LoR's from schools in india is really very tough especially if it has been a while since you graduated.I have been waiting for lor's for the past 1 month so that I can send them to PASS but I guess I will have to wait for another 10 days. I could never understand their importance in the selection process[only university of minnesota has the simplest application process]! Virtually all the applicants end up getting a positvely written lor. But like you all said "there is no escape from this CAPPID/PASS route" .
And am I applying?

And i agree with the LOR's...plus while reapplying,we need to send new ones...beats me!Now will the opinion change in a year?
Another thing i really really hate is the ece.

The only thing they are doing this is to prevent rush 🙄.Before 2004 dentist had to take only license exam to show the competency level. If he can pass the exam without studying then what's the need for study? Simple, to get highest fees among all courses. They are not forcing us to apply.We are saturated in our home country that's why lot's of dentist from India, Philippines, china are coming to USA. (and it's not a charitable trust!!).

This is their phase wait for our🙂
