CAAPID - Sending documents & Personal statement

I have two questions.

1. Sending what to CAAPID?

I've seen some articles that discuss about sending recommendation letters and ECE documents to CAAPID. But from the schools' homepages, the schools that I'm applying to say I need to send Rec.Letters & ECE evaluation to the schools directly. (not to CAAPID). What should I do?

2. Personal Statement?

There is no school that requires personal statement in my school list.
But the application of CAAPID requires it. (It says "required")
So how can I write the personal statement? Is it just a general statement that is not specified to each school?

1. That depends on the school. If they are asking for LOR and ECE documents in addition to CAAPID, then you have to. There are schools like that.
Some schools have mentioned LOR's and ECE, but if you pay careful attention - they are asking it to send to CAAPID.
While some schools like (ex: UCSF, UOP) need them in addition to CAAPID

Either way, LOR's and ECE to CAAPID is a requirement.

2. Just use a General Statement. Like it says on personal statement page on the CAAPID application....
"Do NOT personalize your Personal Statement for a specific advanced placement program. You can NOT make any edits to your Personal Statement after you have e-submitted your completed application to ADEA CAAPID. "

But as for Q1, I'm still confused. You said "in addition to" CAAPID. But I have sealed paper letter for each school, so I cannot send it to both CAAPID and the school I apply to! Is there anyone who can make this clear for me?
