My EMS service arranged for interested providers to participate in a hands-on cadaver lab experience at a COM, proctored by med students and the anatomy instructor. It was an amazing experience, and I was curious if any other premeds have had the opportunity for a similar training experience?

My paramedic program had a cadaver lab component. I think it was about 3 or 4 credits.

I was fortunate enough to have my undergrad anatomy instructor also teach our university's med school anatomy, so our lab component utilized the cadavers the med students ruined (uh, I mean dissected). Awesome learning experience!

we have a cadaver lab course that is required for anyone that is an exercise science major following the pre-medical studies track! It was definitely an awesome experience. Even better - I was selected to TA the cadaver lab last year - it was a great experience to learn even more through teaching others

EMS students sometimes watch us do autopsies. We will go over basic anatomy, especially the anatomy of the airway, and the pathology of the case,

That's excellent to hear that the opportunities are out there. It was a significant reaffirmation of my interest in going into medicine.
