Every time I finish anatomy lab I have to go get some carne asada tacos. Is something wrong with me?
I'm getting hungry just thinking about it 😀

Disgusting.
If you were normal you'd be going for the chicken empanadas.

I always get reminded of shredded beef. Actually I think I'm going to make a quesadilla right now...
(Churro boy)
Hahaha awwwwww
Marginally-related:
I'm all seriousness I recall someone saying that the hunger may be due to the formalin/etc used in the lab. And yes, I used to jones for a burger after lab too (as a post bacc). In my med school we use only fresh cadavers, and can't say I have had that feeling since.

I remember my HS chemistry teacher mentioning that.
According to the study below, they determined the "salt appetite" was caused by formalin causing an inflammatory response that lowers sodium in circulation.
Source: http://psycnet.apa.org/index.cfm?fa=buy.optionToBuy&id=1965-11536-001The mechanism by which subcutaneous formalin injection elicits sodium appetite was studied. It had previously been suggested that, since exogenous mineralocorticoids produce sodium appetite, the formalin effect may be due to increased mineralocorticoid secretion resulting from the induced stress. Exp. 1 showed that subcutaneous formalin elicits sodium appetite in adrenalectomized rats (given mineralocorticoid replacement therapy to maintain normal sodium retaining ability) as well as in intact rats, and that there is a concomitant increase in water intake. Exp. 2 showed that the subcutaneous injection produces local edema formation thus removing both sodium and water from the general circulation. It was concluded that subcutaneous formalin elicits sodium appetite by causing sodium deficiency.
