Anyone having problems with trying to register for Cal north state? today is the first day of their application process and they seem to be very sloppy.

Cal Northstate will be using Pharmcas for Fall 2009 admission process.

as mentioned above, they are participating in PharmCAS for 2009 and i've called the school today about supplemental they said they are in the process of updating their website so they will have the supplemental up soon because as of right now the website is set up for last years cycle with all the info.

its so confusing...grr, i took off northstate from my designations before i submitted because it said on the website they were accepting apps for 2009 in aug....bleh...i guess now i just have to add them back on.

there seems to be a lot of hype of cal north state, but then at the same time they seem to give the most problems to applicants. they must have picked a really good location, because from applicant experience it seems like a bad idea, but its non stop topic on the school. so what is the loan deal now? still hard to get federal loans? pre-accrediation status?

i think no federal loans at all...

Yes no federal loans yet, maybe until we get candidate status which should be next spring. Right now, we have pre-cand status and are still in the process of looking for private lenders. It's been difficult since we are stand alone and not many banks are willing to work with us. Well good luck to you all.

What do you think the chances are of getting in as an out of state applicant? I've read the acceptance statistics on out of state applicants to Cali schools, and they are extremely low, no matter how impressive the applicant is. Is Cal North State any different?

chinkster are you a student at cal north state or going there? unless your an administrator there, but you said pre-pharmacy in status.

i would like to know more about the school and you seem to be really closely associated with the school (all your posts are on cal state).

Yes I am an accepted student there. As for out-of-state students, I know there have been quite a few that have been accepted. It may be different this year as I expect a lot more students to apply from CA. We're with pharmcas this year and have pre-candidate status. So it may be more competitive.

Hi there. I'm also an accepted student there. Last year, there was a form to fill out for the LOR. Since we are with Pharmcas now, I don't know if that will be the case.

For some reason I can't type in my information for the supplemental.. What program are you guys using? I'm doing everything I can to make it work..but sadly I'm failing..haha.. or are you guys writing your information by hand? Thanks a bunch!
