Hey everyone,
Is Calc at a community college a good idea? I'm thinking about taking it this summer so I can start getting into my core degree requirements.

Thanks!

I hope so because Im taking it Online this summer so i can concentrate ONLY on it as math is my weak area. Taking it through a well known institution with proctered exams ect.... Its not a core pre req for some medical schools, so it shouldnt be a big deal if you do well in it

I took Calc at a CC (Calc for Business) - it doesn't really matter where you take it, especially because it's not a required prereq.

I also took it at a CC, made an A with little effort. In my opinion, good idea.

good idea. Calc with premed courses is not cool. I took 3 semesters of calc.2 of them at a CC. No questions were asked.

Calc at a CC worked for me. I took Cal I,II,and III (engineering major) at my CC. The classes weren't too bad and I learned a lot.

I took calculus for community college credit in high school. I highly recommend the CC over university calc. 🙂

eh, i thought Calc. wasn't really necessary, or do they actually look down on you if you haven't taken it.

Some schools may require it. I don't know which ones. It was part of my major so I didn't take it for medical school.
